The Intimus 14.87 (3.8x40mm) heavy-duty shredder/baler combination offers an advanced solution for secure document disposal and waste management, specifically designed to meet the stringent demands of privacy protection. This robust machine is capable of processing large volumes of media, with a sheet capacity that ranges up to 85-95 pages (80 gsm) in its 3.8x40mm configuration, showcasing a notable blend of speed and efficiency with a shredding rate of 18 metres per minute.
Engineered in Germany, the Intimus 14.87 features a wide 440mm throat, accommodating various media sizes and even complete folders while operating at P-4 security level (P-5 when used with baler). The shredder includes a large feed table and an integrated infeed conveyor belt, facilitating smooth and rapid loading.
The baler automatically compacts the shredded material into bales weighing 60-80kg, effectively reducing waste volume by about 70%. This not only enhances efficiency but also eases the recycling process. The Intimus 14.87 and baler work in tandem, allowing for continuous feeding into the shredder while previously shredded material is being compacted.
Operation is simplified with a push-button control for bale ejection—optionally into a plastic sack for dust-free transport and storage. The compression stroke activates automatically, and a visual indicator signals when the bale is ready, pausing the shredding process.
