Robust Cutting Rollers
The cutting rollers on the OMDD 130 are machined in HSM's CNC Machining Hall from solid rods of steel which are maintained at a constant temperature to maintain cutting tolerances. Cutters undergo a multiple manufacturing process including machining, induction hardening at over 800°C, precision grinding with exhaustive quality checks at every stage. The resulting cutting rollers are extremely robust and very sharp, able to consistently cut optical media and give a long effective service life.
Powerful & Secure
Powerful continuous-use motors. HSM use high-quality continuous run motors in the OMDD 130. This means that the machine can shred continuously over the working day at full capacity and the motor will not overheat, meaning there is no relatively short run time followed by extended cooling down periods. This enables the OMDD 130 to be able to shred thousands of CDs/DVDs or credit cards in one day.
2.2 x 4mm cross-cut cutting unit produces very small particles at O-5 security level. This cut size for optical media provide a very high level of security for the most sensitive applications.
Safe, Easy to Use & Convenient
The safety element with a CD input slot prevents unintentional entry of material into the machine and also serves as a splinter shield when shredding CDs etc.

A convenient 51-litre bin is housed in the OMDD 130's cabinet with a sturdy cardboard collection box to catch the shredded optical media.
