The Crunch 250 is a powerful and fast data destroyer that crushes a wide range of storage devices. Simple and safe to operate, destruction of media is guaranteed. Its unique log system records all destruction information giving hard copy evidence for audit purposes. The optional SSD adapter also enables individual memory chips to be destroyed.
Unlike our degaussers which erase data through powerful magnetic fields, the Crunch 250 destroys the drives and memory chips rendering them unusable. For companies requiring the utmost security, the Crunch 250 provides a perfect accompaniment to a degausser. It is also an ideal solution for companies who recycle used media storage devices.
The Erasure Log Software records all operating and degaussing information which can be saved and printed, giving hard copy evidence of complete erasure for reporting and auditing purposes.

Complete with optional Solid State Drive (SSD) adapter, the Crunch 250 destroys SATA, PATA, SCSI, Fibre Channel, Notebook/Laptop Hard Drives (3½" and 2½" all formats and types). The SSD adapter enables: SSD's and Hybrid HDD control boards to be destroyed. Specially profiled plates crush the solid state media from top and bottom causing rippling which destroy the individual memory chips.
Neat and compact the Crunch 250 can destroy media in just 9 seconds making it time efficient and office friendly. It is simple to operate and has inbuilt safety features. A handy LCD display shows progress of the destruction.
The Crunch 250 Hard Drive Destroyer has been evaluated by the NSA/CSS and meets the requirements of the NSA/CSS' Hard Drive Destruction Device Specification. The Crunch 250 is now included on the NSA's Evaluated Product List for Hard Drive Destruction Devices.
Optional extra - Verity has introduced the DD Imager (sold separately), a new hardware solution that integrates seamlessly with their Data Destruction Auditor software. This combination offers a comprehensive solution for tracking hard drive destruction efforts. Using the barcode scanner that comes with the DD Imager, this system can efficiently document each destroyed hard drive and is compatible with selected destruction units such as the Crunch 250, DataGauss LG Max, and DataGone LG Plus. It's an ideal system for businesses that require auditable data destruction processes. For low and high volume operators, data destruction certificates can also be produced through an optional label printer (not included) which connects via the software to print completed reports.
