The KOBRA 260 HS-2/6 is a High Security 0.8x9.5mm Crypto Cut shredder and is suitable to shred Classified and Top Secret documents for Medium volume users. Designed for Commercial, Military and Government use the KOBRA 260 HS-2/6 is available in Din levels 5 and 6, which are the highest two security levels available.
Approved by many International Governments and Military Bodies, the KOBRA 260 HS-2/6 is also being used by the US Department of State, the CIA, the National Security Agency and by the members of the G8 Summits. A special cutting system can shred an A4 sheet in about 10,000 microchips which become absolutely unreadable even if special electronic optical microscopes are used.
The KOBRA 260 HS-2/6 is equipped with an Energy Smart system with optical illuminated indicators for zero power consumption in stand-by mode and environmental protection. It also features a 24 hour continuous duty motor, an automatic Start/Stop function through electronic eyes as well as a stand-by function. The 260 HS-2/6 will automatically stop when the waste bin is removed and will display a no waste bin optical signal.
A heavy duty chain drive with steel gears make the 260 HS-2/6 a super potential power unit. The shredder will automatically stop when the bag is full or the door is opened and will display a light to show which has occurred. In the event of a paper jam the shredder will automatically reverse. This shredder is mounted on casters for easy movement around the office and features full thermal motor protection.
Please note that for Government and Military applications where power can be erratic or is not available, for example in emergency destruction situations, a special model can be supplied with manual crank handle that does not require power – please call 0845 5555 007 for details.
